About Us

The Jackson Hole Jeep Club was started in October 2012 by George M. Dykes, IV. After years of hitting the back country on his own and too few trips per year, he searched for Jeep Clubs in Western Wyoming. While there were plenty of Jeeps in Jackson Hole, there were no clubs in existence. The JHJC was born.

The purpose of the club is to share information/advice about Jeeps and enjoy off-road trips in the Wyoming, Idaho, Montana and Utah areas. There’s no fees or requirements, just bring your Jeep and have fun.

The club is a member of the Tread Lightly organization and encourage responsible off-roading with minimal impact. Guidelines can be found at http://www.treadlightly.org/quick-tips-for-responsible-four-wheeling/ As part of this effort, we will regularly document trouble areas, pick up trash and take special care in heavily used or damaged areas.

With over 130 members, including 30 women, we’ve been featured and hosted photoshoots for Car and Driver magazine (http://www.caranddriver.com/) and 5.11 Tactical’s (http://www.511tactical.com/) Gears, Guns and Gasoline campaign.
